In production The CRM's AI agent in WhatsApp

TOPO Ask: Ask your numbers in the team's WhatsApp group.

TOPO Ask is an AI agent that joins the WhatsApp group your team already uses. Mention it and ask in plain words: it writes the query, runs it on your data warehouse read-only and answers in the group, laid out to read on a phone. At 10:00 each morning it posts the business briefing.

In production since June 2026, in the team's WhatsApp groups at the distributor we build for. TOPO Ask is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

How it works

From a question in the group to an answer in the same thread.

  1. Mention it

In the group, mention the agent and ask in plain words: how did we go yesterday against last week?

  2. It writes the query

It turns the question into a query and runs it on your data warehouse. It can look things up, never change them.

  3. The answer replaces the status line

'Analyzing…' becomes 'Running the query…', then the answer: one line per row, with column names next to the figures.

  4. Ask the next thing

Follow-up questions work in the same thread: it keeps each group's recent conversation in mind.

What it does

What it does in the team's WhatsApp groups at the distributor we build for.

  • Ask in the group chat

Sales, customers, products, credit and purchases. Mention it in the group and ask; the answer comes back in the same thread.

  • Answers laid out for a phone

WhatsApp has no tables, so each row becomes one line, with column names next to the figures: 'North — Yesterday $86.4K · Last Wed $81.5K'. A column name that says nothing, such as 'Amount', is left out, and the row name says what the figure is.

  • The 10:00 business briefing

At 10:00 each morning, each region's group gets its own briefing: today's net sales against the same day last week, a seven-day trend, top reps and overdue accounts. Orders taken but not yet invoiced are counted, so the morning number is closer to the final one.

  • Who hasn't ordered yet

Shortly after midnight, the group gets the day's order book and a list of regular customers who ordered on the same weekday in recent weeks but have nothing booked, so reps know who to call.

  • Weekly product picture, one tap to ask

On Tuesdays, a map of last week's sales by product category arrives with a poll of ready-made questions. Tap one and the answer is posted in the group.

  • One group, one warehouse

A group can be kept to one warehouse. Every query from that group is checked for that warehouse before it runs, and sent back to be corrected if it is not.

  • Only facts your team approves

Once a day it reads the recent conversation and proposes business terms worth remembering, each with its benefit and its risk. A fact is used only after someone you choose approves it.

between the 10:00 figure, counting orders not yet invoiced, and the final invoiced total, for a warehouse that invoices the whole day in one afternoon batch

FAQ

Do we need to install anything?

No. Your team keeps using WhatsApp as they do today. We add the agent to your group as one more member, and people mention it when they want an answer. The service behind it is connected to your data warehouse, and we set it up and look after it.

Who sees what?

Everyone in a group sees its questions and answers, so access is set per group, not per person: add it only to groups where everyone may see those numbers. It is meant for your own staff. A group can be kept to one warehouse, and every query from it is checked for that warehouse before it runs. It answers only in groups, never in private chats.

Where does the data come from?

From your data warehouse, the same one your reports and TOPO CRM read. It can only run read-only queries there: it can look things up, never change them.

Does it remember things?

It keeps each group's recent conversation, so follow-up questions work. Beyond that, it only remembers business terms that someone you choose has approved, such as what 'last week' or 'net sales' means in your business.

Can it get an answer wrong?

Yes, it can: an AI model writes each query. Treat a surprising figure as a question, and ask it what it counted and for which dates. When the team corrects it, the correction can be proposed as a fact, and it is used once approved.

Is TOPO Ask made by WhatsApp?

No. TOPO Ask is our product. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
